Ken Robinson - guru on creativity!
Have just listened to Kathryn Ryan's interview with Sir Ken Robinson (Radio New Zealand podcast 20th March 2009). This is really worth listening to.

He is saying that current education systems (designed to meet the needs of the industrial age) are stifling the creative ability of our young people. Yet finding new ways of doing things is fundamental to our society today.
Listen to his recommendations.

Dear Brenda & Gay,
Have listened to this broadcast and a number of videos with Ken Robinson. What is happening in New Zealand with regards your new curriculum and your own work on Discovery Time sounds very exciting. I am starting a new school next year (Westmead, Australia) and hope to take many of your foundational ideas to the learning. I mentioned your great work on my blog
Keep up the great work!
